This exhibition is an exploration of understanding the volume of cystic kidneys that grow in one's own and others' bodies over time with the directly inherited disease ADPKD.
I have created this exhibition based on my own need to explore this theme visually and experimentally. The emotional aspect emerges in encounters with other people's life stories and situations. Most people living with cystic kidneys are also relatives of others who have it and may also know someone who has been transplanted or a kidney donor. It becomes relevant for entire families.
The exhibition is intended to create space for reflection on our inner body, and several of those who have encountered it have immediately related to their own health issues and have shared their own stories about themselves or as relatives.
